The Trauma Bond Paradox

We feel seen or understood by people who has gone through similar life experiences or traumas as ours. We feel safe in their energy cause we both are bleeding from the same place and that connect us.

But also that is how trauma bonds are created. When we connect with someone through a trauma that means we are not giving ourselves that eyes or ears to feel seen and heard by ourselves. We are somewhere denying the pain within us, not validating ourselves fully. That's why we are seeking that validation outside, from someone else.

And it’s okay, discovering our own self is a continuous journey in life. We are going to peel those layers one by one and see beautiful shades of our own self every now and then. No need to be harsh on ourselves. The mission is to just keep on evolving in the journey and welcome every version with open arms.
Still we will forget to love and accept many of our versions every now and then, and one day we will look back and open the gates with an apologetic eye for keep them waiting so long...
